“I heard a train.” Tate’s brow furrowed as he thought.

Indio’s mind was already going over possible scenarios. He didn’t want to waste any time, and he was all for busting in, guns blazing.

There was nothing to be gained by pussyfooting around and wasting time making plans that probably wouldn’t work. The dealers already knew Indio and his men, but at this point he didn’t give a shit. The only thing that mattered was Korey. Besides, look where it had gotten Tate. If Tate had given them enough to find the Ghost, they would torture the slave dealer until he gave them what they needed to find Korey.

“Two of the men were called by name, Ghost and Spike. And one of them smelled like vinegar and ammonia.”

Indio felt like he might jump out of his skin. He wanted to go out and look for the son of a bitch right now. “Nikos. Get Simon up here.

Now.”

Nikos left the room immediately, and Max looked at him intently.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”

“Damn right.”

“Anybody want to let me in on what they’re thinking,” Tate asked irritably.

Indio suppressed a grin. He had to give Tate credit for being a ballsy son of a bitch. “Number one, you just described the scent of a Were-cat in heat. Subtle, but detectable to a wolf-shifter. Number two, Ghost is a New York gang leader who oversees the slave traffic.

He calls himself Ghost because nobody sees him, ever. We might just have our first solid lead on who the motherfucker really is. One of my men is a cat, and he knows every cat in Michigan. If anybody can find the Ghost, it’ll be Simon. Find Ghost, we find Korey.”
